What is EMS?

Is EMS safe to use at home?
Yes — when used as directed in the user manual that comes with your AURAE set. Our EMS system is designed for convenient at-home use, with adjustable intensity and clear operating instructions. It is important to read the manual before your first session, follow all safety guidance, and stop immediately if you experience any discomfort. If you have any medical condition or are unsure whether EMS is suitable for you, speak to your GP first.

Who should not use EMS?
EMS is not suitable for everyone. Do not use EMS if you have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, are pregnant, have epilepsy, or have a heart condition unless cleared by your GP. You should also avoid using EMS over metal implants, on broken or irritated skin, or on areas with poor circulation. If you are unsure, consult a medical professional before use. As intensity increases, the feeling becomes more like a muscle contraction — similar to the sensation of your muscles working during exercise. The intensity is fully adjustable, so you can start low and find a level that feels comfortable. It should never be painful. If a session feels uncomfortable, simply lower the intensity or stop.
